RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Claims and support the claims function of the Regional Office, ensuring alignment with the group's overall policy and guidelines, as well as maintaining the service level standards for claims services.
DUTIES / JOB DETAILS
The duties of the Senior Claims Officer will comprise amongst others:
<ul>
<li>Review, process and settle claims in accordance with the Group Claims Management Procedure Manual</li>
<li>Acknowledge and review claim notifications received from cedants and brokers</li>
<li>Maintain an audit trail of all reported claims ensuring proper records are kept. Follow up with clients for reserve updates and necessary documentation and follow up claims to a logical conclusion.</li>
<li>Promptly request supporting documents from cedants and brokers such as policy wordings, adjuster’s reports, cession bordereaux, debit notes, etc.</li>
<li>Respond promptly and accurately to queries from cedants and brokers.</li>
<li>Review and flag contentious claims issues to your Supervisor such as incorrect cessions to treaty / facultative contracts or issues with liability attachment, etc.</li>
<li>Promptly process reported reinsurance claim recoveries and ensure accurate calculation of reinsurance shares.</li>
<li>Review and process cash calls in a timely manner, manage follow up and reconcile cash call credit refunds.</li>
<li>Prepare claims files for Management review and approval.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely settlement of claims in line with internal turnaround times.</li>
<li>Assist with the reconciliation of accounts with outstanding balances.</li>
<li>Deliver high quality service to cedants and brokers.</li>
<li>Promptly process and monitor the development of outstanding claims provisions.</li>
<li>Generate and prepare progress claims reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) and any other management claim reports as needed.</li>
<li>Review, monitor and process reinstatement premiums and maintain corresponding reports.</li>
<li>Monitor and validate adjustment premiums for prior years and follow up to ensure they are processed in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Follow up on salvage, subrogation and retrocession recoveries.</li>
<li>Address Audit and Technical Inspection queries and recommendations.</li>
<li>Train subordinates on claims processes.</li>
<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Regional Management from time to time.</li>

Academic Qualifications

Senior Claims Officer

DUTIES / JOB DETAILS The incumbent will carry out the following functions:
<ul>
<li>Provide first and second-line technical hardware and software support, involving the installation, configuration, administration, documentation, and maintenance of systems and associated equipment (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)</li>
<li>Assist in-house users with all aspects of ICT facilities and resources.</li>
<li>Manage and monitor data backups.</li>
<li>Help develop and maintain ICT documentation, processes, and procedures.</li>
<li>Manage and monitor the ICT inventory.</li>
<li>Liaise with external suppliers/vendors of ICT equipment, software, and services, to ensure appropriate service, support, and guidance.</li>
<li>Participate in ICT projects, making technical input, and participating when required as a full-time project team member.</li>

Assistant Information and Communications Technology Officer

DUTIES / JOB DETAILS Under the supervision of the Head of Claims, the incumbent will carry out the following functions:

<li>Review, processing, and settlement of claims per under Group Claims Underwriting Manual.</li>
<li>Preparation of claims memos for supervisor approval and follow up with Finance team to ensure timely settlement per internal turnaround times.</li>

Claims Officer

DUTIES / JOB DETAILS Under the supervision of the Assistant Director Underwriting and Marketing (ADUM), the incumbent will carry out the following functions:
<ul>
<li>Soliciting and receiving treaty offers from existing and potential clients, assessing such offers when received and determining whether to accept them in line with the Corporation’s underwriting policies/guidelines.</li>
<li>Preparing renewal and new business quotation proposals to cedants and brokers.</li>
<li>Maintaining proper records of all business offers and transactions received and concluded.</li>
<li>Attending client correspondence, social and business functions, and other related activities for overall marketing effectiveness.</li>
<li>Reviewing facultative acceptances regularly ahead of renewal and reviewing treaty acceptances annually ahead of renewal.</li>
<li>Ensuring that all the treaties and facultative contracts are processed, and the cover notes/slips/wordings signed and sent out to cedants or brokers.</li>
<li>Monitoring the profitability of markets serviced and monitoring progress towards the achievement of income targets in the assigned markets.</li>
<li>Paying market visits regularly for new businesses and for the renewal of existing business as well as for obtaining market statistics and other relevant information for the Corporation’s strategic and operational use.</li>
<li>Assist in reviewing and monitoring the proper processing of all technical transactions.</li>
<li>Assist in ensuring all claims reports, cash calls request and other claims supporting documentation are timely processed for a prompt settlement of genuine claims.</li>
<li>Ensuring pre and follow-up risk surveys are carried out and risk improvement recommendations given to the cedants are implemented.</li>
<li>Providing training, advice and other forms of technical support to both staff and clients on a regular basis.</li>

DUTIES/JOB DETAILS
Under the supervision of the ADFA/PA, the incumbent will carry out the following functions:

<li>Provide reliable and safe driving services to staff members, partners and guests of the Corporation;</li>
<li>Ensure safe and timely delivery of mails, documents and other items while on errand;</li>
<li>Maintain up to date vehicle log book for vehicle movement, maintenance and reports</li>
<li>Ensure up to date vehicle documents and all required safety supplies (insurance, first aid kit etc);</li>
<li>Ensure vehicle is kept in good working condition at all times;</li>
<li>General knowledge of Motor Vehicle maintenances and service requirements issues;</li>
<li>Provide basic security to clients;</li>
<li>Support and relieve the Protocol Team by providing immigration and customs support to staff members and guests of the Corporation at the ports;</li>
