The Senior Manager – Data for Action is responsible for all facets of Project W’s execution. The Senior Manager is responsible for managing the vision and progress of Project W to build a public, accessible, and innovative data platform. The Senior Manager will help recruit and supervise the relevant tasks of a Data Editor and/or several Junior Data Editors (as they are hired) who will work directly on data collection, entry, and editing.
The Senior Manager’s key responsibilities will be as follows:

We are recruiting for a full-time Accounting Clerk position based in Nairobi. The Accounting Clerk will report to Aquaya’s Finance Manager. We are searching for an individual who is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is eager to learn new methods and technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in accurately maintaining a general ledger and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the following key activities:

<li>Booking all bills, advance requests, payments, and receipts in QuickBooks Online accurately.</li>
<li>Reconciliation of all staff accounts and preparing monthly reconciliation reports for these accounts.</li>
<li>Filing monthly returns, i.e., PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, HELB, and any other statutory deductions within the set deadlines.</li>
<li>Ensuring utility bills, i.e., Internet and Office Electricity, are settled by the due dates.</li>
