<li>Support health facilities in improving quality of services offered through participation in observed practice, preceptorship, and clinical review/switch meetings.</li>
<li>Working with the SI &amp; E Technical officer, assists the Project in working with clinic staff in data collection and data management and reporting including utilization of such data for planning and decision making.</li>
<li>Responsible for tracking and reporting on all project input, processes, outputs, outcomes and impact at supported sites to ensure that adequate progress is made towards set targets.</li>
<li>Assist Technical Advisor in preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports.</li>
<li>Working with other Teams within the project, identify opportunities for integration including decentralization of care and treatment services, formation of and supporting Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs), community-facility linkages and assist in documentation of successes, best practices and challenges associated with such linkage and integration.</li>

Technical Officer - HIV Care & Treatment/TB

<ul>
<li>The Chief of Party (CoP) for the anticipated five-year USAID Kenya Digital Health Ecosystems Project will lead the development of a strategy and overall management of the project, and as the main point of contact with USAID and other stakeholders. The project’s main objectives are strengthening digital health governance, enhancing interoperability and expansion of existing health information systems in support of UHC and enhancing strategic partnerships. The CoP will provide overarching leadership and oversight of the internal EGPAF project staff and identified project partners and contractors. Background
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is the global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS and has reached more than 26 million women with services to prevent transmission of HIV to their infants. EGPAF is supporting activities in 19 counties and nearly 6,000 sites to implement prevention, care and treatment services; to further advance innovative research; and to execute global advocacy activities that bring dramatic change to the lives of millions of women, children and families worldwide.
In Kenya, EGPAF works in partnership with the Ministry of Health and various County governments, and implementing partners to support HIV prevention, care and treatment in more than 10 Counties. EGPAF is mainly funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Centers for Disease Control, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). EGPAF also receives awards to implement its agenda from other development partners such UNITAID and others.
The foundation seeks a qualified and experienced Data Manager (DM) in its research department. The Data Manager will be required to have experience and knowledge in the collection, organization, analysis and reporting of quantitative data, including large datasets of patient-level data and with experience working with public health evaluation data. The Data Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing data management processes and strategies for all public health evaluation activities carried out by the research department. The Data Manager will directly report to the ADPHED.

<li>Under the guidance and supervision of the ADPHED, and data management and analysis leads in-country, regionally, and globally (where applicable), the Data Manager will oversee, and coordinate all data management activities including data entry, data quality assurance and control, take lead and participate in the design of study data collection tools and databases as well as developing guiding documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), data management plans (DMPs), data analysis plans (DAPs), job aids, data dictionaries and codebooks.</li>
<li>The incumbent will be developing electronic mobile data collection using ODK1, ODK-X, REDCap and other mobile application platforms.</li>
<li>She/he will routinely execute procedures for the abstraction and merging of data records from source databases including aggregate databases such as DHIS, EGPAF knowledge management system and DATIM and patient-level databases such as the National Data Warehouse.</li>
<li>The incumbent will contribute actively in the design of study protocols and/or evaluation plans, specifically the methodology, analysis, quality control and reporting sections. She/he will also be responsible for the oversight of the data management procedures through training and routine capacity building activities.</li>
<li>The Data Manager will routinely document data management-related changes. They will also actively maintain logs and files of data queries generated, share with the data collection team and document their resolution. She/he will liaise with the study coordinator (SC) to follow up on the data resolution process for ongoing data cleaning and will be required to routinely travel to sites to offer direct support and monitoring.</li>
<li>As part of the data cleaning procedures, the Data Manager will generate final, cleaned and appropriately named and stored analysis data files in prescribed format(s). They will ensure to maintain the integrity, security, and routine automated data backup of all active study databases.</li>
<li>They will also maintain a log of data collection tools flow between the data storage server and the study sites in liaison with the SC and Research Regulatory Officer (RRO).</li>
<li>The Data Manager will be required to actively participate and also take lead in the quantitative analysis on research datasets using statistical analysis tools such as STATA, R or Python under the guidance of the ADPHED and the biostatistician.</li>
<li>She/he might be required to offer support to other countries in the region when called upon.</li>

Technical Advisor - Data Management and Analysis

Reporting to the Retention, Adherence and Linkage Technical Advisor, the Retention, Adherence and Linkage Technical Officer will support the planning and implementation of Retention, Adherence, Psychosocial support and Linkage interventions required for HIV care and treatment and PMTCT services within LVCT Vukisha95 supported facilities in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Homabay county.
Patient Appointment Management
<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and technical assistance to health facilities on Client Appointment Management system.</li>
<li>Design and develop high quality patient-focused appointment management systems to increase demand creation &amp; Retention for HIV care services at the facility at all Vukisha 95 supported site.</li>
</ul>
Defaulter Tracing &amp; management (Retention)
<ul>
<li>Ensures effective active client follow up systems at each Vukisha 95 supported facility through adoption and use of relevant job aids and data collection tools as per client retention and defaulter tracing SOPs.</li>
<li>Provides technical assistance to health care facilities for planning, implementation and evaluation of patient tracing and retention systems and related data management, data quality assurance, data summarization and analysis.</li>

Adherence Counseling
In collaboration with the adherence counselors/Peer Educators:-
<ul>
<li>Plans and oversees the implementation of high quality patient-focused demand creation, adherence and retention activities including establishment of functional multidisciplinary adherence support teams at each supported site.</li>
<li>Oversee the implementation and documentation of targeted adherence sessions for clients who are suspected for treatment failure (STF).</li>
<li>Conducts capacity building of adherence support multidisciplinary teams, which will include HCW, PE, mentor mothers, LSE in provision of stigma free services, which include HIV treatment literacy, adherence monitoring and psychosocial support with emphasis on EGPAF/National specific approach.</li>

Psychosocial Support
<ul>
<li>Oversees compliance to facility level adherence and psychosocial support Standard Operating Procedures (National and project specific) for PE work, Mentor mothers, Community linkages and defaulter tracing at within Vukisha 95 sites.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of structured mechanisms within age- specific patient focused psychosocial support groups to deliver treatment literacy and address psychosocial and environmental barriers to optimal retention &amp; adherence.</li>

<li>Provides technical assistance to health care facilities for planning, implementation and evaluation of patient tracing and retention systems and related data management, data quality assurance, data summarization and analysis.</li>

Adherence Counseling
In collaboration with the adherence counselors/Peer Educators:-
<ul>
<li>Plans and oversees the implementation of high quality patient-focused demand creation, adherence and retention activities including establishment of functional multidisciplinary adherence support teams at each supported site.</li>
<li>Oversee the implementation and documentation of targeted adherence sessions for clients who are suspected for treatment failure (STF).</li>
<li>Conducts capacity building of adherence support multidisciplinary teams, which will include HCW, PE, mentor mothers, LSE in provision of stigma free services which include HIV treatment literacy, adherence monitoring and psychosocial support with emphasis on EGPAF/National specific approach.</li>
</ul>
Psychosocial Support
<ul>
<li>Oversees compliance to facility level adherence and psychosocial support Standard Operating Procedures (National and project specific) for PE work, Mentor mothers, Community linkages and defaulter tracing at within Vukisha 95 sites.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of structured mechanisms within age- specific patient focused psychosocial support groups to deliver treatment literacy and address psychosocial and environmental barriers to optimal retention &amp; adherence.</li>
<li>Coordinate the establishment and management of Treatment literacy groups for various categories of clients.</li>
<li>Support the Peer educators and adherence counselors develop a schedule for Treatment literacy sessions for the various groups.</li>
<li>Ensure that PHDP interventions and treatment literacy activities are implemented and documented at each supported site.</li>
</ul>
Referral and linkages
<ul>
<li>Guide development and maintenance of updated referral directories to strengthen community-networking activities in collaboration with Community Prevention team in Vukisha 95 supported sites.</li>
<li>Establish community services inventory and SOPs for community-facility referral and linkages and vice versa.</li>
</ul>
Recording and Documentation
<ul>
<li>Identify best practices, document, recommend, implement and disseminate effective and innovative approaches to adherence, client retention, defaulter tracing, community - facility linkage and stigma reduction at each supported site.</li>
</ul>
To Be Successful, You Will Have
<ul>
<li>Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling psychology ,Social sciences or other equivalent qualifications in social sciences and/or Public Health.</li>
<li>At least three (3) years project management experience working in demand creation, adherence counselling, psychosocial support and community linkages in HIV care and treatment/PMTCT.</li>
<li>Proficiency in computer packages (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point).</li>
<li>Familiar with and experience working with Government bodies particularly NASCOP , NACC</li>
<li>Familiar with HIV community programs and facility retention programs including peer education and other MOH departments.</li>
<li>Possess adequate facilitation, mentoring and counseling skills.</li>
<li>Must understand PEPFAR /CDC/NASCOP/NACC Technical guidance requirements</li>
<li>For HIV Care &amp; Treatment particularly on Adherence.</li>

Technical Officer Retention, Adherence and Linkage

To provide effective IT systems, ensure implementation of IT standards and policies, and provide technology support and solutions to meet the needs of the Foundation. Provide user training on common business applications and use of EGPAF ICT systems. Support technologies, which include but are not limited to: Share point, Inventory system, wired and wireless networks, storage systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows OS, MS Office suites, end user workstations, /laptops and various proprietary and commercial software applications and hardware.
No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title?
<ul>
<li>Provide software and system troubleshooting and support.</li>
<li>Good knowledge on single sing on apps (OKTA).</li>
<li>Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and update operating systems and user applications.</li>
<li>Proactively schedule software upgrades and patching.</li>
<li>Ensure that, all software on EGPAF equipment is licensed and keep record of licenses.</li>
<li>Track license and support contracts to include notification of renewal timeframe to ICT management.</li>

<li>Work with service providers to schedule repairs and maintenance.</li>
<li>Work with ISP and other outside service providers to ensure dependable operations.</li>
<li>Train new and current employees on computer software and ICT systems.</li>
<li>Maintaining documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.</li>
<li>Make sure the generator is fully functional as a means of power backup.</li>
<li>Keep an updated asset list of functional and Non-functional hardware.</li>
<li>Any other duties as assigned.</li>

IT Officer

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?
Under the guidance of the Senior Health Informatics Officer, the Health Informatics Intern will be responsible for providing technical support to existing eHealth/mHealth systems deployed in supported facilities. He/she will also work with the informatics team to ensure routine timely monthly data uploads to the National Data WareHouse. During the tenure, the intern will gain valuable experience in Health Informatics in a fast-paced environment.
No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title?
During the course of the placement, the intern will work with their mentors/supervisors to gain experience and knowledge in the following professional roles and responsibilities:

<li>Design and development of android and web-based m-health solutions.</li>
<li>Understanding existing EMR (eHealth and mHealth), in-house, and donor systems.</li>
<li>Providing technical support to existing eHealth/mHealth systems in supported facilities.</li>
