What your day would be like

<ul>
	<li>Leverage the IATA Safety Strategy to deliver on safety priorities, identified though IATA safety management activities and/or IATA governance groups, to achieve the timely implementation of IATA global programs or locally targeted action plans across sub-Saharan Africa.</li>
	<li>Identify, develop activities, and deliver safety improvement programs aimed to rectify any safety deficiencies within the region collaborating with governments, airlines, ANSPs and airports utilizing regional aviation safety forums. This may include the development of country specific safety strategies.</li>
</ul>

Engage stakeholders, and actively promote, the IATA Safety Strategy around the three strategic goals relating to Safety Leadership, Safety Risk and Safety Connect to drive the:

	<li>evolution of safety culture and reporting;</li>
	<li>identification, analysis, and prioritization of safety risks utilizing data-driven insights from IATA GADM and other data-sharing programs;</li>
	<li>growth of a safety community, connecting all IATA airlines, across the region.</li>
	<li>Support promotion, and engagement, with the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program.</li>
	<li>Coordinate airline input during regional ICAO/CAA rule-making and standard-setting processes.</li>
	<li>Respond to tactical issues arising in day-to-day operations in the region as well as provide information and support to IATA member airlines during periods of disruption/contingency operations.</li>
	<li>Contribute to the commercial strategy and targets assigned to the region by promoting IATA products and services.</li>

	<li>Extensive aviation background/experience in positions involved in safety, operations, certification and/or regulation of civil air transport operations.</li>
	<li>A high degree of analytical skill and technical knowledge with working knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices, and industry best practice.</li>

Senior Manager, Safety

What your day would be like

<ul>
	<li>Plan and execute sales activities for specific products and services in coordination with the Regional Head of Commercial, meeting the sales and revenue target(s) and acquiring new customers. This will include account management, securing extensions of existing deals/renewals, and up-/cross-selling with existing customers. Adjust as necessary with a changing environment.</li>
	<li>Identify new markets, segments, opportunities, and customers to continuously grow the business, including lead conversion during campaigns.</li>
	<li>Work closely with Marketing and other sales channels on lead conversion during sales campaigns</li>
	<li>Ensure application of the chosen sales methodology and techniques (currently Sandler) and use of corporate tools including but not limited to CRM / BI</li>
	<li> Lead and direct end to end customer engagement and negotiations as required</li>

Intern, External Affairs and Sustainability

What Your Day Would Be Like
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the local and regional offices team to deliver IATA’s agenda in respect of the set objectives.</li>
<li>Build and maintain effective relationships with both IATA member and non-member airlines’ senior management, ensuring that IATA’s activities, objectives and policies are clearly communicated and that they provide value to members and to the aviation sector.</li>
<li>Raise awareness and understanding of the importance of the air transport industry amongst industry leaders and key decision-makers, by maintaining productive relationships with government ministers, senior officials and key legislators. Work closely at all levels in the areas of Transport, Aviation Safety, Security, Operations, Finance, Trade, Sustainability and Environment.</li>
<li>Monitor and report on all aviation-related activities, including but not limited to aero-political, economic, environment, finance and infrastructure matters, providing recommendations and opportunities to the RLT which are consistent with IATA’s policies and objectives.</li>
<li>Work closely with the RLT to deliver IATA’s global priorities and activities aimed at enabling the airline industry to operate in a more efficient, safe and secure manner in Airport, Passenger and Cargo operations, providing recommendations and opportunities to the RLT that are consistent with IATA’s policies and objectives.</li>
<li>Liaise and report to the RLT on air navigation, civil aviation safety and other operational/regulatory requirements which impact air navigation service provision and the safe and sustainable operations of IATA’s member airlines.
