<h4><strong>About Fresh Life</strong></h4><h4>Fresh Life is founding partner of The Sanergy Collaborative and an award-winning social enterprise dedicated to transforming urban sanitation in fast growing cities in Africa. Operating in Nairobi, Kisumu, and Eldoret, and Lusaka, Zambia, we provide non-sewered, end-to-end sanitation solutions that ensure urban residents living in informal settlements can access dignified sanitation services.</h4><p>Our work is aligned to SDG 6 and we partner with the government to develop and deliver safe sanitation and waste management for urban residents. Fresh Life has been operational since 2011, and currently serves 300,000 urban residents daily across 4 cities. We safely remove approx. 20,000T of sanitation waste per year, and mitigate 30,000 tons of CO2 equivalent from being released into the atmosphere.</p><p>We have built a diverse team of 400+ professionals committed to making sanitation accessible for all. Our work has been recognized globally by the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation and Fast Company as one of the world’s most innovative organizations doing social good.</p><h4><strong>About Role</strong></h4><p>To maintain a clean, hygienic, safe and welcoming office environment while providing basic Front Desk support to ensure a professional and seamless experience for employees and visitors.</p><h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4><h4>1. Office Cleaning &amp; General Housekeeping</h4><ul><li>Carry out daily cleaning and general upkeep of the office.</li><li>Sweep and mop floors across the office.</li><li>Dust and wipe accessible surfaces, furniture and workstations.</li><li>Clean and maintain the reception, corridors and common areas.</li><li>Empty and appropriately dispose of waste from office bins.</li><li>Clean windows and other surfaces as required.</li><li>Sanitise high-touch surfaces regularly.</li><li>Respond promptly to spillages and ad hoc cleaning requirements.</li><li>Ensure the office remains clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.</li></ul><h4>2. Washroom Cleaning &amp; Hygiene</h4><ul><li>Clean and disinfect all 6 washrooms regularly throughout the day.</li><li>Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and floors.</li><li>Replenish tissue, hand soap, air fresheners and other sanitary supplies.</li><li>Monitor washroom cleanliness and attend to additional cleaning requirements as necessary.</li><li>Report any plumbing, maintenance or hygiene concerns promptly.</li></ul><h4>3. Meeting Rooms &amp; Office Spaces</h4><ul><li>Clean and prepare meeting rooms before use.</li><li>Mop floors and dust/wipe tables, chairs and other accessible surfaces.</li><li>Clean whiteboards and ensure meeting rooms are reset after use.</li><li>Ensure marker pens, whiteboard wipers and extension cables are available.</li><li>Support with basic meeting room setup when required.</li></ul><h4>4. Kitchenette Management</h4><ul><li>Clean and maintain the 2 kitchenettes throughout the day.</li><li>Clean countertops, sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, cupboards, kettles and other appliances.</li><li>Wash and organise utensils.</li><li>Empty waste bins and maintain proper hygiene standards.</li><li>Replenish relevant kitchenette supplies as required.</li></ul><h4>5. Office Supplies &amp; General Upkeep</h4><ul><li>Refill drinking water dispensers and jugs.</li><li>Monitor cleaning and hygiene supplies and notify the Administration team when stocks are running low.</li><li>Use cleaning materials and equipment responsibly to minimise wastage.</li><li>Ensure cleaning equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored appropriately.</li><li>Water and maintain indoor plants.</li><li>Identify and report maintenance, facilities or safety issues.</li></ul><h4>6. Basic Front Desk Support</h4><ul><li>Support with Opening &amp; closing of the office</li><li>Receive and welcome visitors professionally.</li><li>Direct visitors to the appropriate employee or meeting area.</li><li>Notify employees when their visitors arrive.</li><li>Respond to or direct basic enquiries received at the Front Desk.</li><li>Support with basic visitor management and meeting room coordination.</li><li>Assist with other basic Front Desk tasks as required.</li><li>Escalate any security, visitor or facilities concerns to the relevant person.</li></ul><h4><strong>Key Requirements</strong></h4><h4>Previous experience in office or commercial building cleaning.</h4><ul><li>Front Desk experience is an added advantage.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.</li><li>Reliable, punctual and well-organised.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a good work ethic.</li><li>Professional, presentable and courteous.</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions, established procedures and workplace standards.</li><li>Basic organisational and time-management skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Academic Qualification</strong></p><ul><li>KCSE.</li><li>A Certificate in Cleaning Services, Front Office or a related field is an added advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Location</strong></p><p>Nairobi</p><p><strong>Application Deadline</strong></p><p>5th September 2026</p><p>If you experience any challenges while submitting your application, please reach out to us at <strong> talent@fresh-life.org </strong> for support.</p>
