Role Summary

We seek a full-cycle Business Development Manager to own the entire sales motion—from prospecting to closing deals. You’ll build and manage a U.S. client pipeline, working with senior leadership to convert demand into successful placements. The role is KPI-driven with clear expectations for prospecting, qualified pipeline creation, meetings, proposals, and annual placements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prospect &amp; Build Pipeline

<ul>
	<li>Identify and prioritize U.S. startups/SMBs and develop multi-threaded relationships with founders, CEOs, and business leaders.</li>
	<li>Run outbound email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach; use social selling to generate leads.</li>
	<li>Source opportunities via industry lists, partnerships, associations, job boards, and referrals.</li>
	<li>Maintain a segmented database in Zoho CRM.</li>
</ul>

2. Discovery &amp; Solutioning

<ul>
	<li>Lead needs assessments and advise on role requirements, staffing volumes, and SLAs.</li>
	<li>Design tailored staffing solutions, pricing, compliance, hybrid-office access, and onboarding plans.</li>
	<li>Align candidate pipelines with Recruitment.</li>
</ul>

3. Sales Execution

<ul>
	<li>Deliver persuasive first calls, presentations, and demos.</li>
	<li>Draft proposals/SOWs/SLAs and manage contract redlines with the senior team.</li>
	<li>Accurately forecast deals and maintain CRM opportunities with next steps.</li>
</ul>

4. Placement &amp; Handover

<ul>
	<li>Coordinate interviews, manage feedback loops, and oversee offer processes.</li>
	<li>Conduct structured handoffs and support post-sale expansion opportunities.</li>
</ul>

5. Process &amp; CRM

<ul>
	<li>Keep CRM records complete and accurate, using standardized playbooks and sequences.</li>
	<li>Track funnel metrics and report weekly on activity, pipeline health, forecasts, and risks.</li>
</ul>

Performance Metrics

<ul>
	<li>Daily multi-channel sales touchpoints logged in CRM.</li>
	<li>Consistent qualified meetings and discovery calls.</li>
	<li>Healthy, diversified pipeline with disciplined stage progression.</li>
	<li>Timely proposals and high conversion rates.</li>
	<li>Accurate CRM data and on-time reporting.</li>

Requirements

Must-Have

<ul>
	<li>4–5+ years B2B new-business sales, ideally BPO to U.S. market.</li>
	<li>Full sales-cycle success from prospecting to close with measurable outcomes.</li>
	<li>Strong CRM skills (preferably Zoho) and consultative selling expertise.</li>
	<li>Excellent English communication; able to work late-afternoon/evening Nairobi hours.</li>
	<li>High integrity, urgency, and ownership in a builder environment.</li>
</ul>

Nice-to-Have

<ul>
	<li>Experience in our verticals or selling EOR/compliance services.</li>
	<li>Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoho, Apollo, or similar tools.</li>
	<li>Exposure to U.S. market or networks.</li>

Business Development Manager

Job Description
Talanta Institute is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Center, registered and accredited by the TVET Authority.
We are a media training college, focusing on whole-youth development and that seeks to transform society through market-relevant education, practical skills training, and the nurturing of talents.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Teach and facilitate learning at diploma, certificate, and artisan levels through lecturers, seminars, projects, tutorials, and other learning situations as assigned by the HOD from time to time.</li>
<li>Participate in the development, administration, and marking of exams, assignments, projects, and continuous assessment tests.</li>
<li>Assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work, and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.</li>
<li>Provide advice, guidance, and feedback to students to support their academic progress and refer students to support services as appropriate.</li>
<li>Participate in the supervision and assistance of diploma, certificate, and artisan students in their projects.</li>
<li>Contribute to departmental, academic, and/or college working groups or committees as needed.</li>
<li>Undertake continuous professional development and participate in staff development and training activities to update and enhance skills.</li>
<li>Maintain proper records of students' examinations, assignments, projects, and continuous assessment tests and ensure marks are submitted to the academic dean in time.</li>

At least 2 years' teaching experience at the college level
<ul>
<li>Experience with the TVET CDACC curriculum will be an added advantage.</li>
<li>competent in the use of computer packages.</li>
<li>Able to communicate clearly, both written and spoken.</li>
