<li>Reporting to the Data Analysis and Visualization Manager, the Program Manager for Data and Visualization position will be based remotely or in one of Viamo’s operating countries. This position might require travel to project sites. Your role is to manage the quality, generate reports and dashboards as well as develop best practices and templates for Program Managers in the Implementation team to use for their reporting needs. You will be a main focal point and oversee relevant strategic initiatives for data and reporting for all Implementation hubs.</li>

Project Implementation

Data Analysis

<li>Help Program Managers unearth insights and interpret trends in complex datasets for our clients by analyzing data and creating reports using Excel. An ability to pull insights from the data is a must.</li>
<li>Analyze user data using statistical techniques to generate cross-project insights that answer business problems, especially those centered around improving the user experience and impact</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of any (or multiple) software for data analytics and visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, STATA) for dashboard visualizations</li>

Best Practices and Reporting Templates Development

<li>Work closely with Program Managers to design experiments, learning pilots and A/B tests templates to ensure data is correctly collected in a timely, uniform, and analyzable way and to achieve maximum understanding of data collected by Viamo</li>
<li>Work closely with the project delivery unit to develop reusable reporting templates and best practices (multi product, single variate, multiple variate …) for Implementation reporting: narrative reports templates, inception and project close-out reports, standardize reporting templates for multi-product projects, best practices SOPs, A/B tests templates</li>
<li>Develop a bank of data knowledge from past projects (trends, region-wise data … )</li>

About the role

About the role

About the role
Viamo’s main market to date has been organizations working in the international development sector: bilateral donors, multilateral agencies, international NGOs, government contractors, foundations, etc. Despite this focus, we have experienced organic demand and success with companies working in the commercial sector, including companies such as Facebook, McKinsey&amp;Co, Unilever, DKT, Johnson&amp;Johnson, as well as others in the financial, agriculture, FMCG and healthcare sectors.
We see big potential for expanding this work and are hiring a dedicated team to pursue it, starting with a Director of Enterprise Sales who will be tasked with recruiting and building a team of salespeople, initially based out of East Africa. We are seeking a candidate with enterprise sales experiences as well as an entrepreneurial/intrapreneurial track record of building new ventures with a learning approach.
Our vision is to leverage Viamo’s existing assets (telecom connections, product suite, brand, engineers, designers, implementation team, etc) in select East African markets to offer enterprise solutions to new customers in the commercial sector. Such solutions include: brand awareness, targeted advertising, consumer education, loyalty programs, service hotlines, market studies, longitudinal indices, customer satisfaction polls, training of workforces, etc… all through mobile.
Much as Viamo has done in the international development sector, we hope to learn from our eventual success in East Africa to expand this team to the 40 biggest emerging markets globally. In fact, we believe the opportunity in this market could be significantly larger than our work in the international development sector!
To be clear, this is not a departure from Viamo’s impact-first mission - far from it! We will be looking at each opportunity in this new sector to ensure it contributes to our raison-d’etre of increasing people’s access to the information they need to make decisions for healthy, prosperous lives.

Some of the key activities of the Director of Enterprise Sales include:

<li>Develop and experiment with Viamo’s value proposition in this sector. This includes developing and iterating on new marketing assets including case studies of our work to date.</li>

<li>Demonstrated passion for Viamo’s mission and vision.</li>
<li>At least 8 years of B2B marketing and/or communications experience in any combination of: social enterprise, INGO, or ICT4D.</li>
<li>Track record of leading a team of marketing and communications professionals.</li>
<li>Experience in creating or leading a movement and/or being a thought leader beyond one’s organization.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.</li>
<li>A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide ranging marketing and communication strategies, including all forms of media.</li>
<li>Proven track record in defining key performance indicators, measuring the impact of marketing and communications efforts, and creating strategies as a result of the findings.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of how to use marketing tools and techniques to increase the visibility, profile, and reputation of an organisation.</li>
<li>Demonstrated self-management/entrepreneurial skills, adaptability, and resourcefulness.​</li>
<li>Experience using Wordpress, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Google Drive, video creation tools, and other marketing tools.</li>

<li>Experience living and working in a Viamo country in Africa or Asia.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in French.</li>
<li>Filming, video editing, and production experience.</li>
