Administration Officer

Job Purpose:

To implement policies and procedures of departmental administration activities for effective and efficient management in line with Institutes mandates and strategic plan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable; and
• Proficiency in computer application skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Liaise with relevant offices for procurement requirements in the unit to ensure adequate provision of supplies;
• Facilitate drivers with daily work tickets and ensuring they are duly filled and signed as stipulated so as to ensure completion of tasks and achievement of targets.
• Monitoring motor vehicle movement and assigning vehicles to drivers on daily basis;
• Facilitate the follow up payments of all bills for common services as directed to ensure quality service delivery in the unit;
• Participate diligently in various committees as shall be appointed or tasked from time to time;
• Provide an update of the Institute’s assets through inventory to ensure easy location and safety;
• Arrange for set-up of the meeting rooms to ensure smooth flow of operations;
• Prepare reports on motor vehicles;
• Facilitate cleaning of offices; and
• Provides input in the development of the annual work plans to ensure completion of tasks and achievement of targets.
