Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider founded by an ecumenical partnership of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). MEDS was established in 1986 and serves clients spread throughout Kenya, other regions in Africa and beyond.Project Summary MEDS is undertaking a project for construction of a warehousing facility for handling of Health Products and Technologies (HPTs) and an office block in Kisumu County. The Clerk of Works reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position is responsible for ensuring that construction work meets project plans, specifications, safety standards and quality requirements. Job holder will be on a fixed term contract of 12 months with possibility of extension.Key Responsibilities: i) Supervise and monitor works on construction site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards ii) Inspect and verify materials delivered and used on site for conformity to specifications and quality standards iii) Monitor workmanship across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works iv) Maintain detailed site records, including site daily diaries, defect registers and instruction book for architect and consultants v) Act as a liaison between architect, project manager, consultants, contractor(s) and Management, communicating instructions and resolving issues for smooth project execution vi) Report deviations, defects and non-conformities promptly and follow up on execution of corrective and preventive...
