Duties and Responsibilities

This is an entry and training grade for degree holders in agriculture engineering. An officer at this level will be deployed at the county or sub-county levels or Agricultural mechanization stations.

Specific duties and responsibilities will involve:

• Extension service delivéry on irrigation, agricultural /farm mechanization, sustainable water and environmental conservition and management and other related land development services
• Irrigation planning, surveying, design and development servichs
• Coordination, supervision and guidance on farm machinery repairs servicing and maintenance, to ensure quality work and timely completion of the same
• Organization and implementation of mechanization extension programs related to farm power, farm mechanization, mechanized soil and water conservation service and other related land development services
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

• Kenyan Citizenship
• Must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental and Bio systems Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Masters degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered as a graduate Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
• Must be in possession of current certificate of good standing from Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Must have Certification. in CAD applications.
