Role Title: Commercial ManagerCorporate Division: DHL ExpressGrade RCS IBusiness Division: SSA – CommercialBusiness Unit: KenyaReports to: Country Manager – KenyaOverall Purpose: Implement new business opportunities, acquire, develop, and improve DHL’s growth and profit in selected industry sectors over a 12–24 month period.Key AccountabilitiesProcess (60%)Manage implementation of business plans to enhance sales.Monitor economic and market trends; provide analysis for business status.Identify and evaluate relevant products, services, and companies.Develop cost models for new business planning.Design and manage market intelligence systems.Manage work processes that affect role success and overall organizational performance.Stakeholder Engagement (15%)Build strong client relationships to maximize company performance and growth.Manage a portfolio of customers via subordinates and stakeholder forums.Liaise closely with regional sales channels.Provide timely support for reported issues.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health, safety, environment, and community standards.Customer Management (15%)Lead and coach sales teams (Field Sales Executives, Key Account Executives, Global Executives).Coordinate with Service Station teams for seamless customer service.Maintain frequent contact with direct sales channel customers to understand market needs.Engage regularly with peers across departments and countries to drive performance.Project Management (10%)Implement projects and assignments with significant business impact.Continuously seek and implement opportunities for operational improvement.Skills & QualificationsKnowledge and SkillsFluent in English (written and oral).Excellent communication and organizational skills.Strong knowledge of MS Office.Good negotiation skills.Team player with people management skills.Awareness of supply chain management and logistics processes.Behavioral CompetenciesMature, professional, and detail-oriented.Strong analytical thinking and judgment.Proactive and self-driven.Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.ExperienceMinimum 7–8 years in trade/distribution channels.At least 3 years in country-level business management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Commerce, Sales...
