Job Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, the position is responsible for establishing and implementing the company’s financial strategy and policies to ensure compliance, financial sustainability, and overall corporate health.

Job Description

• Develop and oversee strategic initiatives and Service Level Agreements for Finance
• Manage financing needs by establishing optimal funding structures.
• Oversee financial reporting to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Guide budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial covenants.
• Provide accurate cost data to support cost reduction and tariff decisions.
• Submit periodic departmental and government reports for decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Approve departmental procurement requests in line with regulations.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Lead policy development to improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee staff performance, motivation, training, and development.

Person Specifications

• At least 15 years’ experience in finance management, 5 (Five)  of which should be at Senior Management level in a large organization.
• Master’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Accounting/Finance), Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
• Professional Certification: CPA Part III, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
• Registration: Member of ICPAK or relevant professional body.
• Leadership course (minimum 4 weeks) from a recognized institution.
• Strong knowledge of public financial management policies and regulations.
• Meets Chapter Six constitutional requirements.
