IT Operations Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for overseeing the company’s computer systems, servers and databases across all countries (currently, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya). They will maintain information systems and networks, upgrade and install new hardware and software, and provide general oversight of IT infrastructure (including security features).

Additionally, particularly as the company grows, this person will have an opportunity to contribute on more strategic issues at the intersection of IT and business/clinical strategy. This can provide great career growth and also add significant value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, monitor and secure AHN network and plan and manage future network growth
• Integrate new technology and ensure optimum system performance
• Manage the ERP rights for our staff across the countries
• Work with senior leadership to identify areas to improve IT efficiency in different functions and own the process from suggestion to solution
• Draft system architecture for all our tools and collaboration software
• Help troubleshoot and fix any IT issues that come up
• Assist with technology related purchases and maintenance of company’s IT property
• Manage CCTV camera and maintenance
• Support on maintenance of company website

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong technical background in IT with minimum 4 years’ experience
• Experience managing company IT infrastructure, ERP, and software
• Experience working with external providers and managing relationships
• Experience with healthcare IT, preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to get into the weeds and solve the problems at hand if needed
• Ability to push back on senior team members, where appropriate
