The WFP Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO), based in Nairobi, Kenya, is part of the Global Headquarters. Within ESARO, the Logistics/Global Corridor Operations Service under Supply Chain and Delivery (SCD) Division coordinates reliable and efficient corridor operations globally beyond ESARO and directly manages the South Africa/Durban corridor operations.
The Corridor Planning and Monitoring team is responsible for coordinating the regional corridor budget and reconciliation processes and monitors regional and global corridor performance to support efficient, sustainable, and compliant operations. The team also ensures timely and compliant planning, contracting and its execution for the South Africa/Durban logistics corridor operations.
The Logistics Officer works under the supervision of the Logistics Officer and lead Corridor performance management and operational cost budgeting and reconciliation, as well as manage Purchase Order (PO) and payment lifecycle for South Africa/Durban corridor operations.
Job Purpose
To ensure effective monitoring of corridor performance and efficiency gains to support efficient, sustainable, and compliant operations.
To lead efficient and fair budgeting and reconciliation process for regional corridors across regions, well aligned with operational reality.
To supervise timely and compliant PO and payment processes for South Africa/Durban corridor operations.
Key Accountabilities (not all-inclusive)

Expected Key Deliverables
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education: Advanced University degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses
Experience: At least 3 years of postgraduate professional experience. Extensive practical experience in logistics operation management, performance monitoring and analysis, and efficiency gain. Extensive experience in people management.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Languages: Fluency in English (oral and written).
