Multi-Media Designer

About the Role

BasiGo is looking for a Multimedia Designer to support to create visually appealing and engaging multimedia content for a variety of platforms. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communication, the candidate will use creativity and technical skills to produce graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia elements that effectively communicate the intended message and amplify BasiGo’s key messages.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing graphics for digital and print materials.
• Design logos, illustrations, infographics, and other visual elements
• Ensure consistency in branding across all design assets.
• Create and design digital images, video animations, and textual animations.
• Ensuring the final product aligns with relevant requirements and is delivered on time under minimal supervision.
• Work closely with the managers across the organization to generate creative ideas and concepts.
• Possess good communication skills when collaborating with all team members.
• Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit videos for various purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, content management, community managers and developers.
• Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Ensure all creative assets produced have a creative quality score of 95%
• Ensure all art produced is fit for the platform
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing project requirements.
• A proactive approach to work, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and maintaining high-quality standards when working under time pressure
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies that can enhance our creative output and workflow efficiencies.

Professional, Technical Skill & Previous Experience Required 

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Multimedia Designer or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of multimedia projects.
• Proficient in industry-standard design and multimedia software.
• Photography skills are an added advantage.
• Basic video editing and post-production skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of creativity.
