Senior Campus Administrator – Facilities Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Masters’ degree in Facilities Management, Building/Civil Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years' experience in facilities/maintenance management, at least 2 in a supervisory/senior role
• Membership in the relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
• Proven experience managing contractors, budgets, and maintenance teams
• Sound knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and maintenance best practices
• Professional certification (e.g., IFMA, BIFM/IWFM) is an added advantage
• Christian commitment and practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in maintenance management software/MS Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate space planning, renovations, and minor works projects
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and asset management systems
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and building regulations
• Ensure statutory inspections (fire equipment, lifts, electrical systems) are conducted and certified
• Ensuring consistent Christian behaviour in line with the university’s vision
• Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.
• Liaise with Security, Transport, Hostels, and Finance departments on cross-functional facility needs
• Maintain accurate records/reports on maintenance activities, costs, and asset conditions
• Manage facilities-related vendor contracts, procurement requests, and service level agreements
• Oversee maintenance and repair of university buildings, structures, and technical installations (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generators, lifts, etc.)
• Prepare and manage facilities maintenance budgets and cost projections
• Respond promptly to facilities emergencies (power outages, water issues, structural faults, etc.)
• Supervise facilities technicians, the Clerk of Works, contractors, and maintenance staff
