About the Role

  • The Forklift Operator will efficiently handle materials and products to ensure storage, movement, and safety. You will adhere to safety standards, and compliance with operational guidelines to prevent disruptions and enhance service delivery. You will be part of Tupande Soko and will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role is based in Sagana at Tupande Soko factory and is on site.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to move materials and products around the warehouse or production area.
  • Load and unload items from trailers, pallets, and containers.
  • Transport materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines.
  • Stack and unstack items in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • 1+ years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid forklift operator certification and Valid driving license
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
  • A certificate or diploma in Automotive Engineering would be an added advantage, but is not required.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
