PRIMARY PURPOSE

To safely and efficiently operate company flights in accordance with regulatory and company standards, while upholding the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

*This position is based at Wilson Airport, Nairobi

Detailed Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Operate flights safely and efficiently for all persons on board and ensure that safety is adhered at all times.</li>
	<li>Responsible for developing, reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and approved Manual.</li>
	<li>Ensuring compliance with the Kenya Civil Aviation Regulations.</li>
	<li>Attend all the required regulatory and company trainings.</li>
	<li>Any other duty detailed in the company approved operation manuals.</li>
</ul>

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualification:

<ul>
	<li>A valid CPL/ATPL for the aircraft type (Cessna 208)</li>
	<li>A valid type rating for the aircraft (C208)</li>
	<li>A valid Radiotelephony</li>
	<li>A valid Instrument Rating</li>
	<li>Must be current on type (C208) </li>
</ul>

Experience:

<ul>
	<li>At least 1000 hours - Total flight time</li>
	<li>At least 750 hours on type (C208)</li>
	<li>Experience in bush flying preferably Maasai Mara/Laikipia will be an added advantage.</li>
</ul>

Skills:

<ul>
	<li>Strong flying and decision-making skills in remote and dynamic environments</li>
	<li>In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures (KCARs)</li>
	<li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities</li>
	<li>Proven leadership and situational awareness in flight operations</li>
	<li>High level of technical proficiency with Cessna 208 systems</li>
	<li>Strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service</li>
	<li>Adaptability to bush flying and off-strip conditions</li>
	<li>Attention to detail and problem-solving under pressure</li>
	<li>Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, transparency and professionalism</li>

	<li>Communicate effectively with air traffic control and ground staff</li>
</ul>

	<li>Strong understanding of aviation safety and regulations</li>
	<li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills</li>
	<li>Ability to adapt quickly and in a fast-paced environment</li>
</ul>

Qualifications

<ul>
	<li>Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating</li>
	<li>Minimum 200 flight hours (excluding simulator hours) required to qualify for interview.</li>
	<li>Minimum 250 flight hours (excluding simulator hours) required for employment eligibility.</li>
	<li>Kenyan citizen.</li>
	<li>A valid KCAA (Kenya Civil Aviation Authority) CPL/ ATPL, with</li>
	<li>Class one medical certificate,</li>
	<li>KCAA English Proficiency level 4 or above,</li>
	<li>Valid Instrument Rating,</li>
	<li>Multi Engine Rating,</li>
	<li>Performance Rating A,</li>
	<li>Gas Turbine Rating,</li>
	<li>High school education with an aggregate grade of C- (minus); and minimum of C- (minus) grade in Mathematics, English, Physics or a general sciences subject.</li>
	<li>Minimum 160 cm height requirement.</li>
</ul>
