The SABISÂ…<h2>Head of Visual and Performing Arts</h2>Job PurposeTo ensure successful delivery of the Drama, Music, and Dance Program in the school.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>To lead the successful delivery of the Arts and the Performing Arts across the school.</li><li>To get students actively engaged in the performing arts and to display their works to parents regularly.</li><li>To inspire and enthuse members of the team, with a clear vision for the future direction of the Performing Arts Faculty.</li><li>To develop an innovative and progressive curriculum in Performing Arts.</li><li>To undertake regular audits and quality assurance checks within Performing Arts to ensure that the highest standards are being achieved in all aspects of the Faculty’s work.</li><li>To safeguard young people by ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to in lessons and preparation areas.</li><li>To lead the development of differentiated schemes of work so that every young person makes progress in their learning.</li><li>To keep up-to-date about subject development and to take part in relevant CPD for this purpose, disseminating to other staff where appropriate.</li><li>To lead the Faculty’s strategic planning and self-evaluation processes.</li><li>To provide regular reports on student performance based on internal assessment data and to plan effective interventions as appropriate.</li><li>To promote and lead on the delivery of all extra-curricular activities in Performing Arts.</li><li>To act as a role model to others, demonstrating high standards of professionalism in all aspects of leadership.</li><li>To coordinate the resources of the Faculty, giving support and guidance to relevant staff.</li><li>To complete all administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>To develop contacts with national and international artists, producers, promoters, directors, and other collaborators that contribute to the development of high-profile, high-quality artistic productions for the school.</li><li>To act as lead producer on specifically identified productions and initiatives.</li><li>To work with the Marketing and Communication Department to deliver audiences, mainly parents and prospective parents, for all performing arts related activities.</li><li>To work with the Marketing and Communication Department on the delivery of marketing and press campaigns for the performing arts program.</li><li>To supply up-to-date information to the Marketing team for use on all marketing and press materials.</li><li>To ensure the Performing Arts program achieves a high profile by flagging up potential creative campaign ideas to the Marketing and Communication Department.</li><li>To perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the school management.</li></ul>Ideal Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field</li><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading successful extra-curricular activities and performance</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with school stakeholders, e.g., parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders</li><li>High sense of teamwork</li><li>Strong analytical skills, with an ability to analyze information</li><li>Professional behavior and ethical conduct</li><li>Communication skills</li></ul>
