The intern will provide technical and administrative support to the AHC project team, particularly in training coordination, documentation, monitoring, and logistics, contributing to effective and timely project delivery.About YouYou are an early-career public health or community health professional with a strong interest in health systems strengthening and youth entrepreneurship. You are eager to gain hands-on experience supporting real-world project implementation across community and county levels.You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple activities at once — from coordinating trainings and meetings to documenting reports and tracking outputs. You enjoy working in structured environments where timelines, reporting, and accountability matter.You are proactive and willing to take initiative, but also comfortable working under supervision and learning from experienced team members. You communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and you understand the importance of accurate documentation, data tracking, and follow-through.You are motivated by contributing to community-level impact and strengthening primary health care systems, and you are ready to grow professionally while supporting the AHC project team to deliver high-quality results.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIESProject Implementation Support<ul><li>Support implementation of entrepreneurship training curricula and experiential learning activities.</li><li>Assist in organizing and coordinating workshops, trainings, and meetings at community and health facility levels.</li><li>Support documentation of training sessions, meetings, and workshops including preparation of reports.</li><li>Participate in AHC project team meetings and document minutes.</li></ul>Monitoring, Documentation &amp; Learning<ul><li>Support tracking of project outputs and outcomes.</li><li>Assist in compiling and maintaining the project’s online training database.</li><li>Support documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.</li><li>Assist in preparing periodic activity reports.</li></ul>Administrative &amp; Logistics Support<ul><li>Support adherence to financial and administrative procedures for project activities.</li><li>Assist in logistical arrangements for trainings, meetings, and workshops.</li><li>Support the team in general coordination of project implementation activities.</li><li>Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Public Health, Community Health, or a related field.</li><li>Having experience in a related field is an added advantage</li></ul>Required Skills and Competences<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and follow through to completion.</li><li>Proficiency in spoken and written English.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic project team environment.</li></ul>Personal Attributes<ul><li>The ideal candidate should demonstrate:</li><li>Strong interest in community health and entrepreneurship.</li><li>Ability to work independently under supervision.</li><li>Willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives.</li><li>Professional integrity and accountability.</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2>Your application should include a cover letter detailing why you are the best fit for this position and your CV with relevant skills and experience. Job Purpose:The job holder is responsible for:<ul><li>Driving branch performance against key performance standards as communicated and agreed with the head of business segment in areas such as; Balance sheet growth (funded and non-funded lines) sales growth &amp; income contribution, cost performance, credit management, employee satisfaction, customer experience &amp; Operational risk &amp; control management.</li><li>Providing the right leadership to branch staff and inculcate a high-performance culture at branch level.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prospect for new business from new and existing clients.</li><li>Prepare call reports with recommendations and submit them for approval.</li><li>Drive branch business performance by achieving growth in performance parameters.</li><li>Monitor branch sales performance and portfolio growth to meet targets.</li><li>Identify business improvement opportunities and suggest service enhancements, product improvements, and process changes.</li><li>Understand local business drivers impacting branch performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Submit weekly activity reports including business acquired and customer issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Analyze financial statements, assess credit requests, and present findings and recommendations to approvers.</li><li>Manage collateral registration process and ensure timely securities perfection.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee excess drawings and loan arrears to maintain asset quality.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure branch service excellence through monitoring and resolution planning.&nbsp;</li><li>Build a motivated branch team, ensure compliance, and monitor operational performance while maintaining high service standards.</li></ul>Qualifications and Competencies:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies/ Publication.</li></ul>Relevant professional qualification:<ul><li>Member of a relevant professional body.</li></ul>Work Experience Required:<ul><li>Over Ten (10) years’ relevant experience with over Three (3) years in management in a similar organization.</li><li>Strong leadership skills.</li><li>Executive disposition.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate high levels of integrity.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>
