Assistant Data Manager - Migori & Kisumu Counties

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to assist the site Data Manager in Data management of all studies.
• Assist in the design and implementation of SOPs, CRFs and Databases.
• Support site staff in data entry and management.
• Conduct continued data quality checks as described in the respective Data management SOPs and come up with ways of solving issues arising from this.
• Keep an updated data query log for queries and inconsistencies identified during data checks.
• As per assessment of the data query log, gauge training needs of Study Staff and play an active role in the training on issues identified.
• In liaison with the Data Manager, advice administration on the policy issues affecting data management.
• Respond to any data queries sent by Central Coordinating team.
• In liaison with the Data Manager, ensures safety and security of IT equipment on site as well as allocation to respective staff.
• Ensure compliance to good clinical practices (GCP), good documentation practice (GDP) and human subject through study implementation.
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned during study implementation of the protocols.

Vacancy Requirements:

# Description. Requirement Type 1 Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Computer Science, Information Communication Technology or any other related course. Mandatory 2 At least 2 years’ experience in data entry/management. Mandatory 3 Training and experience in database management platforms such as Redcap, Survey CTO, Access and statistical packages such as R, STATA, SPSS, Excel. Mandatory 4 Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including report writing and presentations Mandatory 5 Proactive, creative, and systematic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and make sound judgments. Mandatory 6 Prior experience in research will be an added advantage. Added Advantage 7 Competent in IT skills, including basic knowledge of hardware, software applications, and networking, will be an added advantage. Added Advantage
