Tatu City is seeking to hire a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD/BIM Technician - Civil & Structural to support our engineering team on ambitious projects. This role demands a technical specialist capable of producing high-quality structural detailing and civil drawings for complex high-rise, industrial, and residential developments. The ideal candidate is a proactive modeler who will ensure the accuracy of our BIM models, coordinate seamlessly with other disciplines, and ensure strict adherence to international drafting standards.

Drafting, Modeling & Technical Delivery:

  • Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D BIM models for reinforced concrete (RC), structural steel, and civil works for high-rise towers, industrial warehouses, and residential complexes.
  • Develop complex detailing including rebar detailing (RC), steel connections, and general arrangement drawings in compliance with design specifications.
  • Ensure all drawings and models strictly adhere to the company’s CAD/BIM standards and international coding conventions (e.g., ISO 19650 basics).
  • Transform conceptual sketches and engineering calculations into accurate, construction-ready documentation.
  •  Maintain and organize the project drawing library, ensuring version control and proper file management protocols are followed.

Coordination & Clash Detection:

  • Utilize Navisworks to perform collision detection between structural elements and MEP/Architectural models; generate clash reports and resolve conflicts prior to site issuance.
  • Liaise effectively with Architects, MEP technicians, and Engineers to ensure a seamless, integrated design delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation of "As-Built" drawings and models based on site mark-ups and field changes.

Site Support & Quality Control:

  • Review construction drawings for accuracy, feasibility, and constructability before final approval.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to verify that construction works align with the issued structural details and models.
  • Support the engineering team in quantity take-offs (BOQ support) extracted directly from BIM models.

Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a Diploma from a specialized technical institute is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of progressive experience in drafting and detailing for residential, industrial, and high-rise building projects.
  • BIM Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling and coordination.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency is mandatory in AutoCAD, Revit (Structure), and Navisworks. Awareness of Civil 3D, CADS RC, or structural analysis software (e.g., Prota Structure) is a distinct advantage.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies reinforced concrete detailing rules (e.g., standard hooks, laps), and structural steel sections.
