Provide Academic and Career Guidance assist university students in choosing courses, managing academic challenges, and planning career pathsOffer Personal and Social Counselling support students with personal issues, stress, anxiety, and social integration within the campus environmentConduct Group Workshops and Seminars organize programs on study skills, time management, mental health awareness, and leadership development.Conflict Resolution and Mediation facilitate resolution of conflicts among students, or between students and faculty, promoting a positive campus climateMaintain Confidential Records keep accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions, interventions, and follow-upsCrisis Intervention and Referral provide immediate support during student crises and refer complex cases to appropriate specialized professional servicesMaster's degree in Counselling Psychology (or a related field) requiredAbility to build trust, show empathy, and provide guidance to students from diverse cultural and social backgroundsMinimum of 2–3 years of experience in student counselling, guidance, or a related educational support roleMembership with a recognized professional counselling body (e.g., the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association – KCPA) requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
