ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

This position will effectively implement predictive, preventive and corrective/breakdown maintenance at the plant for all electrical and mechanical machines, equipment and plant facilities for maximum efficiency and increased life span.Plant Maintenancea. Process, plan, implement and control, review and adjust a maintenance schedule for the jobb. Preventive and condition-based maintenance of machines as per laid down instructions and procedures to ensure smooth runningc. Trouble shooting Electrical equipment and machine failures by inspection and testing and prescribing corrective action and reinstating it back to its working condition d. Ensure efficient machine operations during shift covere. Initiating purchase requisition for machine spare parts for maintenance f. Identify and report all assets misuse (e.g. machines, spares, tools, etc.)g. Machine modification, improvement and innovation to improve efficiency h. Maintenance checks on building structure and facilitiesi. Basic maintenance of plant utilities (Generators, Compressors etc.)j. Support maintenance of building, facility and machines at the Central Support Officek. Any other assigned duties by the supervisorMaintenance Reportinga. Inspection of machines operations and recording of accurate data such as pressures, temperatures etc. to ascertain smooth operation or service requirements.b. Logging details of work performed on data records to enable further action, planning for next service and storage as history.c. Capturing correct and accurate data i.e. task details and time taken on job cards.Communication & Accountability a. Improve on process accountability through F2F discussionsb.
