Department: ILAMLocation: KenyaContact type:Full Time/Part time: Full TimeReporting into:Country: KenyaReporting to the Senior Associate, Portfolio Administrator, the key responsibility is assisting other portfolio administrators in handling of day-to-day fund administrations duties including but not limited taking instructions and preparing payment instructions, and processing transactions.Updating and circulating of daily cashflowCapturing daily transactions i.e. units allocation, units surrendering/withdrawals, switches/transfers, corporate actions, etc.Daily unit price (NAV) and yield computation and circulation to trustees, publishers, staff members and investment advisors.Daily expenses computation for all unit trust portfolios.Updating daily performance schedule and circulation of the report.Daily cash reconciliation and monthly script/asset reconciliationUploading direct debit instructions in online banking system and MPESA transfers to bank – Safaricom online portal.Retaining third party relationships.Identify, analysis, recording and processing of all corporate actions that affect any of the securities held by portfolios.Process account on boarding – Clients and financial advisors.Participating in both internal and external audits.Participating in testing of unit trust administration system upgrades and enhancement.Maintaining compliance with statutory requirements in order to avoid penalties and revocation of license by submitting investment returns to KRA and CMA.Maintain client data records in their respective system, soft and physical files among other roles as allocated.Bachelors and/or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related degree.A professional qualification in accounting background is an added advantage (CPA or ACCA)Technically proficient in Ms Word and ExcelNo experience requiredTeam playerEager to learnNumerate and analytical. capability of evaluating complex financial informationAccurate and systematic, with great attention to detailAbility to liaise effectively with clients and other stakeholdersTime...
