Key Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of sales executives
  • Responsible for Corporate, MICE and leisure sales for the Hotel.
  • Understanding of the Hotel’s Revenue generation strategies and setting goals to determine action plans to meet those goals.
  • Developing action plans for the sales team quarterly.
  • Identifying new markets and business opportunities to increase sales for the Hotel.
  • Represent Hotels in various trade events and exhibitions.
  • Plan, execute and oversee all sales and promotional activities for the Hotel effectively.
  • Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection visits to the Hotel by prospective business suppliers
  • Ensure quick and timely responses to enquires and developing professional long term business relationships.
  • Ensuring close follow up on all business leads maintaining a 24hrs response timeline to clients.
  • Directing and coordinating all sales activities and participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management team to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings while targeting key accounts potential for the company.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Tracking sales team performance metrics
  • Works closely with Food and Beverage department to maximise Food and Beverage Revenue
  • Responsible for preparing Annual Sales Budget for the Hotel
  • Reporting data on a regular basis to the General Manager and the Sales Director

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration or BCom Sales and Marketing options
  • MBA is an added advantage
  • Experience in an international brand.
  • Familiar with Opera CRM system.
  • Familiar with the GDS
  • Online marketing knowledge.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in the Hospitality sector.
