Senior Procurement Officer

Position OverviewThe Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for leading the implementation of a well- integrated, efficient, systematic, strategic sourcing and procurement process in alignment with internal policies and relevant legal requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that procurement strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets across the group: terms and conditions, supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and rationalization of supply chain solutions.Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities regarding procurement.Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.Prepare the annual procurement budget and forecasts.Take ownership of the procurement policy, guidelines and any associated documents.Initiate and develop creative and innovative procurement processes(eProcurement).Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level.Negotiate contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate.Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier powerSeek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers across Rendeavour.Develop a vendor base that creates and sustains a competitive advantage by exploiting global markets and leveraging spending.Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance.Drive process improvements in the procurement process across Rendeavour.Coach, mentor, develop direct reports, and manage a high-performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value, and cost reductions.Monitoring and enforcing procurement policies and procedures as...
