Job purpose:

Support the Bank’s mission through effective sales and service, targeted business development efforts and community involvement. The Business Advisor is responsible for developing and managing personal and business banking relationships in accordance with the Bank’s core values and prescribed sales process in an assigned area.

Key Responsibilities for this role are:

<ul>
	<li>Seek out prospective retail, business and corporate clients.</li>
	<li>Carry out cross selling and upselling other Bank services and products.</li>
	<li>Develop and manage deposit and loan portfolio.</li>
	<li>Plan, implement and monitor growth and quality of branch credit portfolio and the bank business plan.</li>
	<li>Conduct field visits and carry out the verification of loans to improve branch portfolio management.</li>
	<li>Create a conducive customer service environment by building strong business relationships with the customers who result in trust, confidence and contributes to retention and brand loyalty.</li>
	<li>Meet with retail, business/corporate clients, listen to their needs and provide advice on their financial needs.</li>
	<li>Maintain consistent communication with clients.</li>
	<li>Assist clients with services and products such as loans, cash management, bank accounts opening and queries, interest rate swaps, letters of credit, foreign exchange, insurance and others.</li>
	<li>Monitor clients’ finances and commitments regularly. Maintain updated records of transactions.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships.</li>
	<li>Assist customers with account opening activities.</li>
	<li>Open credit files for branch customers applying for loans.</li>
	<li>Loan origination at Branch Level.</li>
	<li>Perform secretarial activities for the branch credit committee.</li>
	<li>Manage and ensure the reduction NPLs rate.</li>
</ul>

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

<ul>
	<li>At least a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, Finance, Economics or in another related field.</li>
	<li>Minimum of at least three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar field within the Banking sector.</li>
	<li>Proven business and organizational skills.</li>
	<li>Ability to create and maintain good customers relationships.</li>
	<li>Ability to analyse and process loan applications and ability to monitor the financed projects.</li>
	<li>Good understanding of the Rwandan business environment.</li>
	<li>Must be fluent in English or in French, Knowledge of both languages is an added advantage</li>
	<li>Knowledge of computer application and proficient use of business software.</li>

Relationship Officer - Meru Branch

What you will do:

<ul>
	<li>Providing leadership to team members by communicating team goals, motivating, and addressing their issues</li>
	<li>Providing support to agents to ensure they can deliver</li>
	<li>Assisting with induction and training for Debt Collection new hires</li>
	<li>Drive strong performance management in the team through clear communication on performance expectations</li>
	<li>Identifying training needs, preparing training materials and recommending trainings that require external trainers</li>
	<li>Develop strategies to promote team members adherence to debt collection policy and performance goals</li>
	<li>Conduct team meetings to update members on changes in processes, target achievements and expectations.  </li>
	<li>Monitoring and training on usage of call center tools in the department and company’s ERP System</li>
	<li>Addressing issues raised by customers who visit the office</li>
	<li>Follow up with customers to fulfilment of their contractual obligations</li>
	<li>Generate and share detailed reports about team performance</li>
	<li>Submit suggestions on debt collection process improvements</li>
	<li>Any Other duties assigned </li>
</ul>

What you will need:

<ul>
	<li>Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or related field.</li>
	<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
	<li>Strong analytical &amp; problem-solving skills.</li>
	<li>At least four years of relevant experience.</li>
	<li>Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.</li>
	<li>Fluent in English and Swahili.</li>
	<li>Good leadership skills</li>
	<li>Loyalty and Integrity</li>
